Dinner is then up to you - the restaurant next-door the hotel is recommended as a decent casual option.

Day 2

You must be ready at 8:30 for a briefing covering the final details, after which you head towards the east coast by scooter. The starting point will be at the Bay of Agardh. As your transport returns to Longyearbyen, the guides will determine, depending on weather conditions, if you start to ski west the same day or set up camp on the East Coast - the realm of the polar bears! begin camp life and the routine of keeping polar bear watch.

Days 3 - 8

We aim to ski about 20 kilometers each day, and then set up camp somewhere new each night. You will all muck in with the practical tasks of melting water, making food, putting up tents and digging lavatories. The guide determines the choice of route depending on weather, wind and snow conditions and finally you will reach your goal - the last outpost to the west, Isfjord Radio. We spend the final night of the expedition in these comfortable surroundings, with first class food and comfortable beds.

Day 9
