The luxurious Llao Llao Hotel & Resort is surrounded by the magnificent scenery set between Lake Moreno and Lake Nahuel Huapi, at the feet of snow-capped peaks, offering picture-postcard views in every direction. They have 15 hectares of their own land and it is one of the oldest hotel's in this part of the lake district, originally opening under a different name in 1938 and ever-expanding since, eventually becoming the institution we know as 'Llao Llao' today. Think exposed cypress walls, oversized stone fireplaces and elegant decor.
In total there are 205 rooms and suites, so its not small, with views over the Andean peaks and lakes - the best views are from the deluxe Lago Moreno Wing. The 161 standard rooms and suites in the original Bustillo wing are compact and comfortably furnished; whereas the afore mentioned suites are set in the six-year-old Moreno Wing have private whirpool tubs, modern design, large balconies, and those breathtaking views.
It’s well worth stating that a stay at Llao Llao is not quite as expensive as you may think (for such a property) - the more extravagant suites are up there, but the standard rooms are downright affordable, comfortable and well-appointed.
Facilities include a spa, good sized pool and a health club and, of course, tango and salsa instructors.
You have access to a shuttle service free to and from the base of Cerro Catedral, where the hotel has a Hospitality Lounge Base, specially prepared to meet the needs of skiers who stay at the Llao Llao. El Refugio Llao Llao is located at the base of Cerro Catedral and has staff who assist and advise guests, along with a Snack Bar - Cafeteria, ski room, and a heated area ideal for relaxing.
Llao Llao also has an exclusive ski school, with a staff of 70 instructors and intensive service designed for those who want to maximize learning time and day on the mountain. It is private ski & snowboard lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, with an optional 3-hour or full day (7 hours). There are also classes for XS: children between 4 and 11 years, whatever their level.
