The Pisces is the ‘other’ top-notch hotel in Las Lenas (along with the Virgo Hotel). In a village where most of the accommodation is predominantly three star, the Hotel Pisces has loftier aspirations. Indeed, they claim five stars, whereas we’d prefer to conservatively rate it as a decent four star property.
The Pisces is actually ski-in, ski-out, although they do have a shuttle service to cover the short distance to the lifts, as well as a ski concierge waiting for you at the mountain base. These guys will take your gear for overnight storage and retrieve it for you the next day. Water, snacks, hot chocolate, and even a beer (we discovered!) will be offered as you await the shuttle.
They have single and double rooms and there are also some Junior Suites with a separate sitting area, bedroom, and a private bath. One of our pet-aggravations is that whilst there is free WiFi in the common areas, they charge to extend this to your room. Rooms interconnect, making this a good choice for family groups considering that they also have a kids club and babysitter services.
The Pisces has a reading library which is a great place to relax with a good book on one of the leather couches. Also, similar to the Virgo, they have indoor/outdoor heated pool and then also two hot tubs in the pool area along with a sauna and other spa facilities.
The ‘Cuatro Estaciones’ restaurant offers dependable international cuisine with an unbeatable view of the valley and Cordillera mountain range. The second restaurant - ‘Il Legno’ - specialises in Italian cuisine. There are also two bars; ‘Bar Estar’ is the day stop, all about gorgeous views out of the large picture window, while the ‘Bar Allegro’ is where the music and late night frivolities take place. To top it all, if you have a forfeit of money which you feel the over-whelming need to loose then, fortunately for you, there is also a casino that stays open until four in the morning.
Only a short distance from the lifts - almost ski-in, ski-out.
