Duration: two weeks

An epic itinerary in every sense - this is the 'best of' tour of Chile's ski slopes. Following a philosophy that you'll only come here the once, we ensure that you miss out on nothing when it comes to to the ski mountains. We couldn't pack more in if we tried - including a full ski week up in Portillo.

We could play with the order, perhaps putting Portillo before Valle Nevado and Nevados de Chillán? The only stipulation is that the ski week in Portillo is Saturday to Saturday.

Day 1

Arrive at Santiago International Airport (SCL) and we'll take you straight up to Valle Nevado. Theoretically, you could be skiing on this first day, but we're guessing you'll want to relax after the international flights.

Days 2-4

Three days skiing up at Valle Nevado and the Tres Valles - the largest skiable domain in Chile.

Day 5

One last day's skiing on your pass. and once you’ve had your fill, head down the mountain to Santiago for a night in the big city.

Day 6

All aboard the southbound train for a scenic ride through Chile’s Central Valley down to the town of Chillán. Transfer to Nevados de Chillán and check in to your hotel.

Days 7-8

Ski Nevados de Chillán, one of our favourite resorts in Chile.

Day 9

Transfer back down to Chillán and train back to Santiago. From the capital you then drive north to Portillo (this should be a Saturday), where you check in to the 'big yellow hotel'.

Days 10 - 15

Six days skiing in legendary Portillo, staying at the Portillo Hotel.

Day 16

Transfer back down to Santiago. either overnight in the city or flying out the same day.

As a guide, prices for this itinerary would begin at circa £3,785 per person, which would include accommodation, ski passes, domestic flights, transfers and excursions as featured in the day-by-day itinerary. It all depends quite how much luxury you feel you need (or deserve!) and prices can vary hugely depending on the accommodation selected. The other significant factor can be the season - the peak being July and early August.

This indicative cost does not include international flights from the UK (or elsewhere), which Different Snow can also arrange for you. We have access to excellent fares on most airlines, at least as good as those you’ll find on the internet.
