The Alpen Hotel is located at the base of the Ace Quad Chair, and this is exactly why we feature it. Location. It's not necessarily a stylish hotel - there are considerably nicer in Niseko - but it does also offer plenty of facilities, the rooms are light and spacious and, as mentioned, it has the prime spot in all Hirafu.

Most rooms are conventionally Western style, though some Japanese rooms can be requested for larger groups or families. Beyond these perfectly adequate rooms there are two restaurants, an onsen, karaoke lounge, souvenir shop, reading lounge and lap pool, and a “ganbanyoku” stone sauna with spas and steam rooms. As we said, plenty of facilities.

Expect a solid four star hotel in an enviable location - quite large, very 'Japanese', a little bit dated and perfectly comfortable.
