The eight Kasara Townhouses occupy prime position at the heart of Niseko Village, moments from The Green Leaf Hotel, The Hilton, and the village proper - the ski runs and lifts a mere heartbeat away. Brand new and part of the uber-luxeYTL brand, they embody authentic Japanese charm and contemporary elegance. The marketing pitch has the architectural design promising an "ode to Japan's heritage townhouses that were inhabited by craftsmen and wealthy merchants toward the end of the Edo period."  When we took a look around, they certainly looked to be on track to deliver. Impressive.

These townhouses can accommodate up to six adult guests in three bedrooms, with a tatami-style dining area within the each being convertible into an additional bedroom with futon bedding to accommodate two  additional children if need be.  They have modern interiors with a fully-equipped kitchen and mountain views through floor-to-ceiling windows. A range of complimentary services include guided mountain orientation, an on-call driver, and hot-spring bath and gym use at next-door sister hotels. The salon at the spacious Kasara Townhouse is tastefully decorated, and equipped with a flat-screen TV and a selection of DVDs, books and games and the afore mentioned Japanese-style dining has a tatami floor, low furniture and seating cushions.

There is a strict policy on check-in days (Wednesdays and Saturdays only) with minimum stay durations required throughout the ski season.
