With a privileged position just a couple of minutes’ walk from Hirafu’s main quad lift, Owashi Lodge offers good value, superb access to the slopes, close proximity to the vibrant après-ski of Hirafu and a contagious communal spirit. Best suited to the young at heart, the majority of the accommodation at Owashi’s is in small, private rooms with single bunk beds (sleeping two); there are also a few twin and double bunk rooms, as well as a six-share dorm. Shared bathrooms are on each floor.
At Owashi it’s all about the communal areas and the fun that lies outside, with the staff more than willing to help plan activities on the mountains. Inside, there’s a well-equipped kitchen, large lounge areas ideal for socialising, and a basement games room with pool, table tennis and darts. Ski storage, drying room and laundry facilities are all available.
Right at the heart of Upper Hirafu village. It’s a short walk accross the road to the ski lifts and then down the hill to the restaurants, bars and clubs.
