For many, Niseko’s crème de la crème, The Vale offers lavish luxury and one of the best locations in town – not far from the centre of Hirafu Village, with ski-in, ski-out access at the bottom of the Ace Family Run. After a thrilling day, slide off the mountain and into a luxurious world of warm interiors, smart fireplaces and bathtubs with mountain views; where the heated outdoor pool is encased in snow and a soothing onsen allows you to bathe in healing thermal waters which have travelled through the mountain rock.

There are regular hotel rooms as well as one, two and three bedroom apartments with spacious living areas; some even have private outdoor onsens on the balcony. If you’re really blowing the budget, it doesn’t get more sumptuous than the Penthouse apartment, where you’ll be greeted in the morning by stunning panoramic views of Mount Yotei.  The Vale has its own Bar & Grill, perfect for aprés drinks and dinner.

This is Niseko's most popular place to stay and finding availability can sometimes be a problem. But don't despair...there are a handful of comparable alternatives - some even more luxurious. Whilst these may not all be ski-in, ski-out,  it's never far if you are in the Upper Village.
