You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to skyscrapers in Tokyo; but, trust us, you haven’t seen this city until you’ve seen it from the top of SkyTree. The country’s tallest building stands at an astonishing 635 metres, with two 360 degree observation decks and an exhilarating glass floor with incredible views. SkyTree houses shops and restaurants as well as a theatre and an aquarium, and the area below is now quite lively thanks to the popularity of the tower.
It’s about 20 minutes on foot from Tokyo’s majestic historic district, Asakusa – just over the river; combining the two makes for a nice morning or afternoon in the city. This is a busy attraction and you are better off buying tickets in advance at this website. Ordinarily we like to help you as much as we can, but in this instance you really are better served buying your tickets directly.
