Suggested Itineraries

It may come as no surprise that New Zealand is a stunningly beautiful country.  It invariably takes top spot in Traveller’s Top Ten lists and has been named “the world's best country” by countless publications (Telegraph Travel Awards, Wanderlust magazine, Sunday Times…etc). Therefore, you really don’t need to Different Snow to tell you how magnificent it is - take it as a given.

It’s all about the landscapes and they envelop you wherever you turn. It’s relentless! We love to quote Douglas Adams, as he talks of Fiordland - “a vast tract of mountainous terrain that occupies the south-west corner of South Island, one of the most astounding pieces of land anywhere on God's earth, and one's first impulse, standing on a cliff top surveying it all, is simply to burst into spontaneous applause. It is magnificent.” You don’t need any Hobbit from Middle Earth to try sell you this - the scenery thrusts itself at you, wherever you turn. The crystal clear winter skies and snowy mountaintops only serve to enhance the impact.

Winter is a great time to be in New Zealand - visitor numbers are down, yet 99% of the outdoorsy activities are still operating and the welcome is all the more heartfelt and sincere during this ‘low’ season (outside of the ski resorts).

So - let’s get you a hire car, seek out the best lodges and hotels, create a tailor-made itinerary and set you off on an exploration of the world’s best country. It’s that simple. It’s up to you how much you wish to focus on the skiing only or how much time you want to devote to exploring the country beyond. We know New Zealand extremely well and using our expert advice and on-the-ground knowledge will create the perfect itinerary - for you. To see what we’ve organized previously for other guests, take a look at our sample itineraries.
