How to Book

We don’t believe in off-the-shelf packages - we tailor-make holidays.

  • Tell us what you want to do. Whether you have detailed plans or just a vague idea, get in contact – we have knowledge, ideas and expertise.
  • We build a tailored itinerary. Once you’ve received it, we can answer any further questions and refine it until you are completely happy.
  • Book it. When you are satisfied with all the arrangements, we ask you to complete a booking form and pay a deposit, at which point we start confirming everything.

Different Snow is a fully bonded tour operator, which means we automatically take responsibility for your whole holiday, offering you 100% financial security.

Without any reasonable doubt, between both Queenstown and Wanaka there will be a luxury lodge, hotel, apartment or B&B ideally suited to your taste and budget. The options are varied, competition keen and standards are therefore ridiculously high, whatever the price point. However, with so much choice you’ll need our guiding hand to help you settle on the right place.

There are two ways to organise this – we can book what is effectively a ‘ski package’ for you with one of our trusted local partners, where accommodation comes with transfers, perhaps car hire, lift tickets, and equipment rentals. Alternatively, we could simply look at sourcing your international flights and accommodation only with Different Snow, leaving you then with the flexibility to buy lift tickets, transfers, lessons, equipment etc when you arrive. There is a slight price disadvantage in the latter, but you’ll be able to make decisions based on local conditions and how you feel on any given day.

In both Queenstown and Wanaka, not all the accommodation is within easy walking distance of the town and if we’re not using a hire car then this needs to be a consideration.
