With it’s own manicured gardens (probably snow-covered), Wanaka Springs Lodge is a homely, convivial place in which to stay. The rooms are spacious, the décor is tasteful, the service personal and the over-all experience is a bit like staying with friends. We first discovered this place in 2001 when it was owned by the delightful Lynne & Murray, who have since moved on to be ably replaced by Glynis & John. Very much a hosted experience, Wanaka Springs Lodge celebrates New Zealand hospitality – you’ll get a sincere, warm welcome, and then the attentive service will see you through.
In the evenings enjoy complimentary regional wines and beers accompanied with local snacks and canapés before heading down the hill for dinner in one of Wanka’s many eateries. In the morning, for breakfast a choice of full, continental or a vegetarian option. As is de rigueur for ski holidays, you’ll find a hot tub in the wonderful garden, just beyond the deck.
We've been using Wanaka Springs as our go-to choice in Wanaka now for many, many years – guests simply fall in love with the personal charm and laid-back atmosphere.
On a quiet residentail street at the top end of Wanaka town. Its only a short walk down to the shops, restaurants and lake front.
