Because most will be flying in or out of either Bergen or Oslo and because we are not your conventional pile 'em high 'package tour' operator, we can arrange for you to break your journey with several nights in the city. We tailor-make our itineraries and extending to include a city break is perfectly possible, indeed encouraged. We have can arrange hotels, transfers and whatever else you need.
Oslo is a vibrant city, with a wonderful café and bar scene. This is then complimented by world-class museums and galleries, a heady mix of old and new architecture and many other notable attractions. Perhaps most famous is the Viking Ship Museum, housing some of the world's best preserved long boats from the 9th century. Other must-see sights include the Akershus Fortress, The National Gallery (home to the world famous "Scream" painted by the Norwegian, Edvard Munch), Holmenkollen Ski Museum & Tower, The Norwegian National Opera, Vigeland Sculpture Park and the excellent Fram Museum.
Bergen - Europe's most underrated city - is enveloped by majestic mountains, spectacular fjords, and one of Europe's largest glaciers. Bizarrely, Bergen has a reputation as being somewhat bourgeois and conservative...a description we struggle to recognise at all. The cosmopolitan street-life, the gorgeous restaurants and the lively beer halls are lively during the winter deep freeze - this is a energetic city which likes to party, as only the Norwegians know how!
