Pyrenean Heliski Weekend

Baqueira / Beret & Val d'Aran

Duration: 5 days

Once ensconced in the remote Val d'Aran, you spend the first day exploring this epic resort (if you want - of course, we could head straight for the backcountry?). And then it's two days with over 400 square metres of terrain to explore, with your guide and a helicopter - seriously, skiing doesn't get better than this. And who says it needs to be only a long-weekend? If you want longer, if you'd like to go deeper, if you'd want to spend more than one day in-resort...all possible! That's the beauty of a tailor-made approach when creating the perfect ski holiday.

There a number of packages we can buy for your days with the helicopter:

The 'Classic' day offers a great introduction to heliskiing over carefully selected terrain, at a pace suited to your experience. You can pay for either three, four or five runs.

The 'Premium' package is designed for skiers looking for the perfect powder snow and the untouched slopes. A vast territory of 400 square kilometers, with between 3,000 meters and 1,500 meters of altitude for you and your friends. There will be a minimum of 5 runs over the day, perhaps more.

The “private” formula allows you to enjoy the privilege of being provided with a helicopter exclusively for your group. You will be skiing among friends, on your own rhythm, not depending on other groups. You design your own heliski experience with our guides! Your group will be lead by two guides at least.

Day 1

Fly from the UK to Toulouse, either on British Airways or using a low cost carrier. You are met at the airport and private transfer to your accommodation in Val'd'Aran.

Day 2

Find you ski legs in-resort at Baqueira / Beret. This is not a day without challenge - the formidable 'Escornacrabes' (variously translated as "where mountain goats go to tumble and die") should certainly feature at some point. We can organise a guide for the day, to help you get the most from this huge linked ski area.

Days 3 & 4

Two days heliskiing. The take off point is in the regional capital - Vielha - and there are a range of affordable packages we can arrange for you. What you are assured of is some steep, deep and all-around epic terrain.

Day 5

Private transfer back to Toulouse and flight back to the UK.

Obviously, cost depends on which accommodation you choose and which heli-ski package you choose to book. An indicative lead-in price for this five day holiday to Baqueira would be circa £1,350 per person, including accommodation in one of the four star hotels we feature in mid / low season (breakfast included), private transfers from Toulouse, lift passes for the first day and then the Classic heli-ski package for two days (the entry-level option which only three runs per day) and economy class flights from the U.K.

This presumes that there are four of you sharing transport, the helicopter and two twin or double rooms. You can upgrade by opting for more drops in the helicopter each day and by choosing more luxurious accommodation.

We don't have to include international flights. However, by keeping it all within one package, your arrangements are protected by ATOL.
